if you needed proof of previous post just
take a look at this. they are called japanese
silkies. i wish you could here the sounds they
make. it's almost like singing, instead of
normal chiicken sounds.

these are some babies. if you look at the bottom right of their clutch, they are sitting on a little banty chicken that was put in with them. when ever you try to reach in they will run the banty to corner and then sit on it to protect it.
i edited just a little, you know i took out the e-mail this....
but by this criteria i guess i AM a redneck, though i've been pretty sure for a while
Subject: Another Redneck
Yep - and proud of it................
We have enjoyed the redneck jokes for years. It's time to take a reflective look at the core beliefs of a culture that values home, family, country and God. If I had to stand before a dozen terrorists who threaten my life, I'd choose a half dozen or so rednecks to back me up. Tire irons, squirrel guns and grit -- that's what rednecks are made of. I hope I am one of those. Ya'll know who ya' are...
You might be a redneck if: It never occurred to you to be offended by the phrase, "One nation, under God."
You might be a redneck if: You've never protested about seeing the 10 Commandments posted in public places.
You might be a redneck if: You still say "Christmas" instead of "Winter Festival."
You might be a redneck if: You bow your head when someone prays. You might be a redneck if: You stand and place your hand over your heart when they play the National Anthem.
You might be a redneck if: You treat Viet Nam vets with great respect, and always have.
You might be a redneck if: You've never burned an American flag. You might be a redneck if: You know what you believe and you aren't afraid to say so, no matter who is listening.
You might be a redneck if: You respect your elders and expect your kids to do the same.
You might be a redneck if: You'd give your last dollar to a friend.
thanks to whoever wrote this.
thank you all again for letting me have my say.

i don't consider myself a prude. i am a christian, but not a bible thumper. and i do think this is something to think about!
AND WE SAID OKAY
This one will make you think
In light of the many perversions and jokes we send to one another for alaugh, this is a little different: This is not intended to be a joke, it's notfunny, it's intended to get you thinking.
Billy Graham's daughter was interviewed on the Early Show and JaneClayson asked her "How could God let something like this happen?" (regarding theattacks on Sept. 11). Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and insightful response. Shesaid, "I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we've been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our governmentand to get out of our lives. And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out. Howcan we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand Heleave us alone?"
In light of recent events...terrorists attack, school shootings, etc. Ithink it started when Madeleine M urray O'Hare (she was murdered, her body foundrecently) complained she didn't want prayer in our schools, and we said OK.
Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school . the Biblesays thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbor as yourself And we said OK.
Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't spank our children when theymisbehave because their little personalities would be warped and we might damagetheir self-esteem (Dr. Spock's son committed suicide). We said an expert shouldknow what he's talking about. And we said OK.
Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why theydon't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves. Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure itout. I think it has a great deal to do with "WE REAP WHAT WE SOW."
Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why theworld's going to hell.
Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, butquestion what the Bible says.
Funny how you can send 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread likewildfire but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people thinktwice about sharing.
Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely throughcyberspace, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school andworkplace.
Are you laughing?

i'm in a lot of pain right now so all tact is gone. the comments that have nothing to do with what i've had to say REALLY PISS ME OFF. if you have some insight or a disagreement or better still a compliment by all means speak to me. but i really don't want to know how to "work from home" or "check out these pics" so people please give me a break.

well i just spent many minutes testing my brain. now i know that doesn't take much but still...
anyway the post that floating around somewhere far away, was, in a nut shell:
what the heck is going on. from where i'm sitting the world is falling apart.
lots of excitement here though, thanks to fall, unless you live in a agriculturally rich area you can't understand.
god bless.
thank you.
actually there was a bit more but i don't remember as usual.

i have a new soap box to get on today. linkin park: faint is on loud so i can really get into this. my mom fell at work (thank goodness she's ok) and several coworkers told her she needed to file workmans comp, but at her own admission it was her fault and she hadn't "broke anything". i left her a comment that said KUDOS to you. as an employer i can tell you that she is in the minority. there are so many out there that look for a reason to get W.C. and use it like a vacation or to sue their employers for just about anything. a safe place to work is an employers obligation and accidents do happen when W.C. is needed, but i think quite a few employees would be amazed at how much this ins. cost and how much it goes up with a relatively few number of claims made.
anyway all this is to say that weak work ethics and shallow loyalty on both sides cost us all, employer and employee alike.
well thank you for letting me have my say again.

i've spent the day at our church. we are feeding and supplying evacuees with cloths, toys for the kids etc...
the people i've met today have been all so different, some shy, some embarrassed , some excited and grateful. when these things happen you want to help in anyway you can, and yet, it just doesn't seem enough. in my mind there is a litany "you can do more". my body aches from head to foot and i feel like i could prop in a corner and sleep for a week. yet i can't sleep there just has to be more i can do. so in the meantime i keep my eyes and ears open and pray.
what i don't understand is the murder the looting and anarchy that is taking place in the affected areas.
i think maybe God is looking down and weeping. i also believe when he said "love one another", it wasn't a suggestion.
tomorrow it starts again, the meals to the empty eyed people, the people with unbearable sorrow in their eyes and the ones with unutterable joy at being alive knowing there are people there to hold hands and weep with them.

hello. i've not been able to post in quite a while. not that i have any great words of wisdom anyway. well some updates: the cat is a he not a she. but after thurs will not technically be a he either, HAH wink wink. i'm sorry fellas, some days it is soooo satisfying for a woman to say NEUTER. the stitches weren't stu's they were one of the girls from the show with two stitches in her toe. now i'm an ex-nurse, but, i wouldn't touch somebody's feet unless absolutely necessary.
uuuhhh let's seee, oh yeah i think my shop has demons. technologically advanced demons. they know how to shut down all machines. and screw-up any attempt of anybody to fix them. but i think that connie (lady in front office) and i just might have them corralled. if not by tomorrow i'm going to call the preacher and schedule an exorcism. well that's about all for now.
