i just don't get men. remember the very ugly piece of machinery holding up the very beautiful cross? well somehow in the male psyche, now i'm imagining the internal conversation."well all the christmas decorations are put up, so now i think i'll just rip up all those trees over there". for some reason just out the blue it was decided to rip up all the trees, (and these were some pretty grancy greybeards and dogwoods) and get ready for the pipe fencing that has been in the works for about three years. now my great view that blocked the drive next door is gone. oh well maybe in another four years that fence will be up. and it WILL be nice when it's done it's just the in between that's so ugly.
another thing why do men, .....ok SOME men get angry and you know they are angry but won't say anything until the absolute oddest times like in the middle of a movie, after 'punishing' you for several days? i made mistake, a doozey at the office three weeks ago and just now got the lecture even though i asked several times what was wrong. this really hurts. and i don't appreciate being treated like one of the kids instead of a partner.
i probably shouldn't be so personal but there just isn't any one to talk to right now!
God bless all

a rant!!.. sent my teenage son who works for us to return some wire to an electric supply house we use. never had any problem before, but when this teenager walks in they pop off with "you know there is a restock fee". long story short the mistake was theirs, so no fee. i've taught my son there is a nice way to stand up for yourself, be firm, fair and polite even with adults. so he just tells the guy, "wow, i sure hope dad knows about this" while getting out his phone and dialing the number. two minutes later after speaking with an adult the guy backs off. this really isn't a big thing, but i've seen people treat teens like dirt in retail places resteraunts, theaters etc... maybe they think they have every reason to from past experience, but it really isn't right. my son and his girlfriend have more free money then i have to spend, and i believe they both are always polite and honest, if they were 5 years older they wouldn't have heard some of the rude things "adults" have to say to them. i took a group to dinner and to see coheed and cambria, and i must say it was GREAT!!!, anyway, i was in the restroom while they asked for dessert. while i was coming around the corner there is a guy telling them it's to late to get anything else go up the street or something. when he realised i was standing there behind him he kind of jumped and said he would see what he could do. this was at 8:30pm other people had come in behind us and i can honestly say nobody had run a waiter or waitress around. he came back in few minutes with a basket of sopopilas (sp?). i was going to leave a small tip but the kids insisted i didn't, that i tip the right amount. i've been chaperone on many teen trips and seen this kind of stuff all over. WHY. what purpose does it serve. i know there are some people that deserve this treatment, i've given this kind of treatment when they did. but come on, why peg someone into such a narrow minded rude hole!!
thanks once again.

this is my new baby. it's been a big change
going from a ford f150 crew cab, but i
love it!! i've also not driven a standard in
about 15 years so THAT has been interesting,
especially to the people behind me! ;-0

christmas was wonderful here. and i hope everybody else had a blessed one too.

you can't see it very well in the dark so you will have to take my word that it IS beautiful. the sign says peace on earth.

now let me explain. i've been wanting a cross to light up for Christmas for a couple of years.
well it seems i might be married to tim the tool man. i now have a 16 foot cross in my front yard being held up by a trackhow that fell of a trailer in a rain storm WITH MY HUSBAND IN IT! so it's ugly as sin. but the cross at night is beautiful and you can't see the machinery. thank goodness. but it does overshadow my peace on earth sign i saved for months to buy! well you just have to love a man like that. he most definitely spoils me as you'll see in my next post.

MERRY CHRISTMAS
this is the new view
from my front porch.

ok people why can we not get along? i've heard a lot recently about the term Christmas is offensive to some. as i've said before i'm a Christian, not a bible thumper but a Christian. most of my friends and family are Christians and not once have i heard anybody gripe about Kwanza or Hannaka (sp?) being offensive.

what ever your faith or lack there of, or beliefs may be isn't the christ....
oops sorry HOLIDAY SEASON the time to reach out to one another to give a little, not with just gifts, but with heart and spirit? oh by the way where do you think holiday came from? HOLY DAY! or at least that's the way i understand it to come from.

look around, watch the news, isn't there enough conflict and depressing things going on without adding to it?

if the nativity or carols are offensive to you don't look, don't listen or better still if you just HAVE to think it's a personal slap to your face because of the religious thing, think of it as just a tradition. i personally believe you are really missing out on some great things of life, but at least it may make things easier for your offended sensibilities.

all i'm saying is let's give each other a break. for the season at least.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL. AND GOD BLESS!

did you know that killing a black cricket is bad luck. UH HUH! it really is . i now have proof.

did you also know i play with penny stocks. and when i say penny i mean penny. wink wink

now let me tye thes two facts together: we've been suddenly over run with these critters, always before i would get some paper and run them out the front door, but now there are just too many and i've been killing them. well i also just bought some new stock. in two days it dropped. i have it figured out that for each cricket i can remember killing i've lost two cents per stock. now how's that sdience for you!

thank you again for listening to me ramble. good bye and god bless.

a great view from my front porch one early
morning.
