since i'm tired of ranting and raving i decided to do pics this time.

this is my oldest son. right now he works for a tv commercial production co. his goal is to be a screen writer/producer. he built this set himself for a theatre production here in town. and believe me that was quiet an accomplishment for someone who's never built anything in his life except a crooked bird house at church camp! ;-)

this is my youngest son and his best bud. they head up the praise band at church. his goal is to go to fullsail in orlando and then be in different aspects of music production. fullsail is very
expensive soooo any donations would be appreciated ;-)

can you tell i'm VERY proud of my boys, though their career choices kind of confuse me.

and here is my new baby deer getting to know daisy. he's a buck and was almost bushhogged out in the front by the pond!! i think i may name him karma.

During some surfing I started to read some of the military blogs. Some the things I've read are amazing, touching, sad, heroic, enraging, there are just not enough adjectives in the English language. Why are these stories not told through the msm? Do they believe we are too stupid to understand? Too insensitive to care? Too self absorbed to hear?
oh wait. Well duh!! We are talking about the general population aren't we? According to what is spouted by media talking heads and their experts of sociology, economics, politics etc. They are always throwing at us, we are all of this and more.
and I'm ashamed to say other then writing here I don't know how to change it. Tonight I'll go home watch the news, then tomorrow surf around some more on some particular topic or topics that caught my attention and try to get more information. But then what? Nothing! Because I simply don't know how to change the content or the way our news is feed to us.
thanks again to ANYBODY that just MIGHT read this for letting me rant.

i watch the news everynight, listen to NPR, read blogs, newspapers etc.... and try to stay as informed as my feeble brain can understand. "granted not a lot" but i wonder a LOT lately where our country is heading.
years ago i said i believed our country would see another revolution and probably within my lifetime. i was teased unmercifully by several people about being paranoid, having an active imagination or becoming a conspiracy nut. now i'll be the first to admit i do have an active imagination and i do tend to be a little nutty. hey it's fun this way, you ought to try it!!
but now more than ever i think we are heading to a show down of some sort, how much are the American people willing to put up with? i mean we are supposed to be the land of the free right, but sooo much is and has been shoved down our throats in the past, oh i don't know 20 or 30 years.
i'm not speaking of any one thing i'm talking about the government and watch dogs collectively.
we are told if we don't like our representatives vote them out and replace them. well how is that accomplished when the pool to choose from is all slimey? this is just another feel good slogan that means NOTHING in the real world. i've voted in every election since i was 18. not ONE time did i vote FOR a particular president, i simply voted what i considered the lesser of the available evils. and the local elections aren't any better.
well today i'll go vote again "sigh" and pray for the best again and be disappointed by my choices within a month or two again!
thanks for reading "all two of you :-)" and God Bless

Aren't we just so proud of how our war vets are treated:: she says with a sneer.
Word is that many of the returning injured vets are being billed and even turned over to collection agencies from bills, by guess who, naw really take a guess. THE GOVERNMENT!
I understand that it's mostly bookkeeping mistakes but please.
it makes me ashamed and angry. One of the men had been billed for $2000.00 and threatened with collections, I think it was for receiving combat pay while he was learning to walk on his new prosthetic leg the other had been severely wounded and was being billed for his sign on bonus for not fulfilling his contract. The news highlighted two men with different stories so I may be getting them mixed up. sorry that's just me "mixed up". But the gist of the story is correct.
let's put this into perspective. Somebody somewhere is billing this man for $2000.00 and our President is preparing for some kind of summit (sorry, again, my ignorance is showing here) somewhere and they will be paying $3700.00 a night for a slew of suites per suite per night.
now whether your pro or con Bush and/or Iraq you've got to admit somethings wrong with this picture!!
well once again i thank you, (if there is a you) for listening to me rant.
until next time God Bless!

hallo everyone.
WOW some crazy crap in the news huh?
last night i heard that Massachusetts is trying for a new state health plan where everyone will be covered. in theory a great idea. but for me and mr. c it was down right frightening. they said that small business' that don't offer health insurance will have to pay $ 300.00 per employee into a state health pool. now i have to do a little research since they never said if this was monthly, qtrly, or annually, but with the ins. shoppping i've been doing i guess it's monthly. for us that would be $1200.00 a month!!!! $14,000.00 a year.
i'm dead serious when i say we would have to lay some people off. can someone explain to me how this would help anything?
i do agree that something has to give in our health system. it's broken and desperately needs to be fixed, but is this really the way to acheive that? i've said many times and say again it feels like state and federal government does not want small business to prosper. heck sometimes it seems like they don't want us to make it from month to month!
i would really love to hear from other business owners out there.
thanks and god bless

arkansas love/hate chpt 2

early feb. the temp was highs in the 80's one day the thermometer on the porch said 91. late feb we have sleet and snow and the the next week we're back up to 70's and 80's. now it's the end of march and the avg. temp the past two weeks (highs) has been 55. NOWONDER i have sinus headaches.

latest on lonoke, more charges pending, more people arrested and i heard on the radio that it was in the national inq. remember at the same time this broke out there was a scandal in a northwest county along the same lines.

earlier this week i read about helena/west helena now has their own little thing going on. the two city govt. are merging, or something like that, and a lot of people will be out of a job, so in one fell swoop several VIP's:shesayswithasneer, voted themselves raises and bonus'. WOW wouldn't you like to have that job.

i've lived here in pine bluff for 11 years and there has been one crisis and scandal after another with the city govt. but since we live outside the city limits i've never been able to try vote the fools and or jerks out! very frustrating.

anyway i was wondering, if anybody reads this, what state are you in? do your city governments have the same shenanigans going on? i would love to hear about it.

ok that's the end of my ramblings for now. God Bless All! even those in the city govt. ;-)

Everywhere there are saint patrick day things going on. to me it's a depressing day. it's the day my daughter was born and died. she would be 25 today. i dream sometimes of what she would look like or what type of person she would be. you would think after so many years the pain would be less, but it's not. and it's not a pain you can share with anyone. there is nobody that can share your pain. nobody else carried her for 8 mnths and talked with her, read and sang to her and grew to love her even before meeting her even before you knew she was a she. then the worst of all not getting to hold her, count her toes and fingers and feel her wiggle in your arms.

sorry folks (if there is anyone that reads my crap) the past two entries have been really whiney and "oh poor me". this is not the type of person i usually am and i'll get back to normal soon.

then maybe i'll have some interesting topics to write about.

ok i'm fixing to really bitch about something personal.
you know you can take care of somebody you love with out expecting anything anything in return. and you should. but why is when your sick they completely ignore you. no do you need anything can i help? NOTHING. i'm soo pisse doff and really really hurting on top of having the flu or what ever the hell this is.
i just had to right this down somewhere before i explode and say things to people that i love, no matter how much they hurt me, that i'll regret later.
if i live through this (and right now death just doesn't sound to bad ;-) )
i'll be back on to talk to more important things.
