i was thinking the other day..i'm sorry? ah yes you may leav..uh. oh RUN from the room now. well i WAS thinking. anyway.....anybody remember the show M*A*S*H*? i watch the reuns somedays as a sort of release valve. remember when it came on, khaki was in and dress blues were out. the really big thing for that year. green scrubs M*A*S*H* 4007 t-shirts, etc...... it suddenly struck me as very sad that a large portion of society was more "behind" and supportive of a t.v. show about war than they've been regarding the real wars, korea, vietnam, the gulf and iraq, and the men and women that did and will go to fight. i've often wondered what most of the WWII generation thought about the turning of america against our war vets? well back to the original thinking i was doing, after trying to educate myself somewhat i really don't understand how you can be against the war and for the troops, i've heard this, even spouted something like it myself while trying to figure some things out. but i'm coming to understand they are part and parcel. one of the mil blogs i read the soldier wrote "it doesn't matter now why we're here, what matters is what are we going to do about it" (i'm probably not getting that word for word. the esssence is the same though). and agree that if we don't do something THERE about the terrorist we will be doing something HERE. and deep down are afraid we will be doing something over here about them also sooner or later. well agin thanks for lsitening to the babbling.

i've not updated in a while. last week was great, mom and jess came in. all we did was veg-out, just what we all needed. the only complaint i have is the HEAT!! then sunday my sister-n-law and i hosted an 80th b'day party for mr. c's aunt.

Now all i want is a dose of Damnitol just before hitting Coco Beach. Folow that in a couple of hours with a dose Peptobimbo washed down with a shot of tequila. And the the next morning first thing, a dose of Buyagra with a mimosa before heading to Miami.

Put them into the Social Security plan with the rest of us. Now I don't know any of this for fact, but i have read about such outrageaous deals in Reader's Digest and seen news reports about same. one of our employees has been working down at the river on a barge. the owners brother has been hanging around the past week and "entertaining" him. the bro. has been telling rick about the demons in the barge and how he won't go in it. there was a story about a demon he had shot the other night down by the river and about Jesus telling him to give $50,000.00 to a certain homeless man that was one of the disciples and when he found the man walking down the road he started handing him the money the "glowing red" man started handing him another $50,000.00 so then he knew the demons had caught up to him. charming fellow huh? so this morning when i gave rick his fuel check i also gave him these pics. on the ladst one look in the left top corner. oh yeah that's the guy sitting there. look on rick's arm in the second one. there are several more but i couldn't load all of them. but i guess i paid in advance for it because yesterday when i went to feed karma (the fawn) he wouldn't move so i reached in to get him. THEN i looked down and saw that we had a visitor right under my left arm, see the first pic. needless to say i freaked. well anyway the snake is dead and i survived so all's well that ends well.
in case your wondering i have YET figured out how to get my pics and text to all line up right. they look alright in my draft but them when i publish it's all screwed up.

sorry it's just so lonely here in blogworld

since i'm tired of ranting and raving i decided to do pics this time.

this is my oldest son. right now he works for a tv commercial production co. his goal is to be a screen writer/producer. he built this set himself for a theatre production here in town. and believe me that was quiet an accomplishment for someone who's never built anything in his life except a crooked bird house at church camp! ;-)








this is my youngest son and his best bud. they head up the praise band at church. his goal is to go to fullsail in orlando and then be in different aspects of music production. fullsail is very
expensive soooo any donations would be appreciated ;-)


can you tell i'm VERY proud of my boys, though their career choices kind of confuse me.




and here is my new baby deer getting to know daisy. he's a buck and was almost bushhogged out in the front by the pond!! i think i may name him karma.

During some surfing I started to read some of the military blogs. Some the things I've read are amazing, touching, sad, heroic, enraging, there are just not enough adjectives in the English language. Why are these stories not told through the msm? Do they believe we are too stupid to understand? Too insensitive to care? Too self absorbed to hear?
oh wait. Well duh!! We are talking about the general population aren't we? According to what is spouted by media talking heads and their experts of sociology, economics, politics etc. They are always throwing at us, we are all of this and more.
and I'm ashamed to say other then writing here I don't know how to change it. Tonight I'll go home watch the news, then tomorrow surf around some more on some particular topic or topics that caught my attention and try to get more information. But then what? Nothing! Because I simply don't know how to change the content or the way our news is feed to us.

i watch the news everynight, listen to NPR, read blogs, newspapers etc.... and try to stay as informed as my feeble brain can understand. "granted not a lot" but i wonder a LOT lately where our country is heading.
years ago i said i believed our country would see another revolution and probably within my lifetime. i was teased unmercifully by several people about being paranoid, having an active imagination or becoming a conspiracy nut. now i'll be the first to admit i do have an active imagination and i do tend to be a little nutty. hey it's fun this way, you ought to try it!!
but now more than ever i think we are heading to a show down of some sort, how much are the American people willing to put up with? i mean we are supposed to be the land of the free right, but sooo much is and has been shoved down our throats in the past, oh i don't know 20 or 30 years.
i'm not speaking of any one thing i'm talking about the government and watch dogs collectively.
we are told if we don't like our representatives vote them out and replace them. well how is that accomplished when the pool to choose from is all slimey? this is just another feel good slogan that means NOTHING in the real world. i've voted in every election since i was 18. not ONE time did i vote FOR a particular president, i simply voted what i considered the lesser of the available evils. and the local elections aren't any better.
well today i'll go vote again "sigh" and pray for the best again and be disappointed by my choices within a month or two again!
